Jacqueline Evans uses bold colors and hand drawn shapes to illuminate another world, peeking out behind a veil of textures.
Using oil and cold wax as an anchor to her work, she begins with graphite, then defines. The viewer will note hints of her mark making intermingled in the works enhanced by the transparency of her pallet.
Jackie has traveled extensively in the US, setting out on solo trips across the country to experience the freedom that can only be felt as an explorer on one’s own. That same feeling can be experienced in her paintings.
Her true love of “things left behind” drives her passion for patterns, colors and textures, where, within organic shapes, she blends these to build a visual experience, and lure the viewer into the work.
She is also the owner of Art Street Design Studio.
